Nature's Notebook App Updates

This page contains the status and updates related to the USA-NPN's Nature's Notebook Mobile App. 

Please note that if you are unable to use the app, you can enter data on the USA-NPN website from within your Nature's Notebook Observation Deck. There you can access paper datasheets to use in the field as well as a Data Entry form where you can transfer your paper datasheets online. Please reach out to [email protected] with questions.

Some users are reporting an issue where the app stalls after initial login on the "Sync" screen. We have identified the source of this issue and implemented a fix. However, iOS users may not have received the automatic update due to a larger issue with Apple app updates. If you experience this sync issue, please try deleting and reinstalling the app, which will prompt you to log in again. 

If you continue to experience problems, please reach out to [email protected] and tell us whether you are using iPhone or Android, which operating system you are running, and whether you are logging in as a first time user or an existing user. 

iOS users have reported an issue where the keyboard obscures the view of the Observation Comments text box, so that a user cannot see what they are typing. We are planning to deploy a fix for this issue with the next release of the App for iOS.
