Ideas for Marking Plants

Posted by ginazwicky3 months 2 weeks ago

I manage a site on NPS property and often encounter issues with installing permanent signage--the park prefers non-permanent indicators like flagging or metal tags. This can be difficult for small, fragile-stemmed annuals like Pycnanthemum, Asclepias, etc. How do you all go about marking these types of plants?

To mark plants, consider getting some metal foil plant tags. You write on them with a pencil or pen to make a permanent, weatherproof impression. Consider adding a vinyl water resistant sticker to the other side to give them a more professional look!

You can use the Nature's Notebook logo to purchase stickers, or use your own logo. Find various versions of the Nature's Notebook and USA-NPN logos on our Media page - https://www.usanpn.org/news/media
